Newport Beach Restaurant Week returns

The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce has relaunched Newport Beach Restaurant Week, which had been run by the local restaurant association from 2007 through 2021. This year’s celebration, Jan. 15 through 25, features discounted prix-fixe offerings at 50 restaurants.

Among them: A Crystal Cove and Bluefin at Crystal Cove Shopping Center; Cucina Enoteca, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, PF Chang’s and Zentrl Kitchen + Bar at Fashion Island; Champagnes Kitchen at Newport North Shopping Center; Sol Mexican Cocina, overlooking Balboa Marina; and Tommy Bahama at Corona del Mar Plaza.

Many of those offer three-course dinners for $60. Among entree options at Bayside are its Duroc pork double chop and Ora King salmon (each alone fetching nearly $50 on the regular menu). The main at A Crystal Cove could be the Akaushi skirt steak or its cioppino. Bluefin offers miso cod or omakase sushi, nearly a dozen pieces, also available at its two-course lunch for $40. Tommy Bahama makes it simple: Enjoy any appetizer, entree and dessert for $60 at lunch or dinner.

Two- and three-course lunch and dinner menus elsewhere start at $25.
