Luxury fashion consignment: My Sister’s Closet and Well Suited

My Sister’s Closet founder Ann Siner had a vision: Resale stores didn’t have to be dark, dirty and dingy, they could be cute, clean and current – like new-clothing boutiques.

Customers could shop for the world’s best brands – Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton – at up to 90% off retail. They could turn their current wardrobes into cash. No appointment would be needed for consigning. Cash or store credit would be available immediately once their items sold.

Retail-savvy Siner and her creative sister Jenny opened their first My Sister’s Closet 35 years ago in Phoenix. The luxury fashion consignment concept has since expanded to two other Arizona locations and two in California, most recently at Westcliff Plaza.

Siner had another idea: Men could enjoy the same shopping experience. In Newport Beach, Well Suited opened under the same roof and includes Tom Ford, Robert Graham and Gucci ties.

Find couture, handbags, hats and belts on the women’s side; suits, sport coats, ties and briefcases on the men’s. Both sides offer designer clothing, jewelry, shoes and sunglasses. Inventory changes constantly.

The price range can be dramatic among women’s leather goods – recently ranging from a Chloe pink grained lambskin Drew long wallet at $155 to the Hermès Ardennes Birkin 35 Noir handbag at nearly $17,000.
