Fashion Island Elevates the Luxury Shopping Experience with RH Newport Beach Opening

RH Newport Beach, The Gallery at Fashion Island, caps off a transformation at the coastal retail destination that has been 18 months in the making. A staple of luxury home furnishings, RH re-envisions its Fashion Island location with a four-story design gallery complete with a glass-encased rooftop restaurant and wine bar overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. Surrounded by lush garden courtyards and terraces, the eagerly anticipated luxury establishment invites customers to step into a magnificent world of possibilities as they explore showrooms and timeless designs.

The nearly 96,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor gallery showcases exceptional home, decor and hospitality. The new design is complete with floors specifically dedicated to RH Interiors, Modern and Outdoor brands, and filled with exceptional home furnishings, lighting, textiles and decor that fit into a Fashion Island shopper’s lifestyle.

While perusing the showrooms, guests can experience the RH Ocean Grill, offering a menu of seafood and caviar specialties, along with a selection of signature salads and classics from the hearth. The skylit garden dazzles with heritage olive trees, sparkling chandeliers, a cascading center fountain and panoramic coastline views.

“As the only RH design gallery in Orange County, the magnificent four-story showroom acts as testament to our long-standing partnership with the luxury furniture brand,” said Gerard Widder, vice president and general manager of Fashion Island. “We have curated timeless luxury here at Fashion Island for more than 50 years, and we strive to continue to offer one-of-a-kind experiences like this to Newport Beach and beyond.”

RH Newport Beach is one of the many transformational elements made to Fashion Island over the past several years. With dozens of Orange County-exclusive retailers, world-class restaurants and luxury home brands, the retail destination continues to expand its wide range of entertainment, shopping and community offerings. The open-air center anticipates the ever-evolving and eclectic tastes of its customers as it collaborates with local artisans, architects and culinary masters to expand the amenities and atmosphere.

Only Found at Fashion Island

Early 2024 saw Arhaus open its doors for the first time in Orange County. The made-to-last home furnishing brand offers sustainably sourced pieces for indoors and outdoors. Each item has been handcrafted with recycled materials by artisan partners from around the world. The company’s Green Initiative and partnerships with global nonprofits align with Fashion Island’s mission of providing shoppers who visit the center from across the globe with goods that improve their lives and the planet.

Fashion Island’s culinary offerings have expanded into new horizons, catering to elevated palettes and adventurers seeking exciting new flavors. Offering free Champagne to patrons as they enter the door, Joey Newport Beach serves premium seafood, steaks, handcrafted cocktails and mouthwatering creations. The custom-built location – with an Orange County-exclusive menu – even has a wonderful, communal open fire pit for friends, co-workers and family to gather around while enjoying appetizers and cocktails as they wait for their table.

Additionally, the masterminds behind Mastro’s expanded their new fine-dining, seafood-focused concept, Ocean 48, in Orange County at the luxury shopping destination. Oysters, caviar, crudo and culinary creations that will long live in diners’ memories fill the menu, as well as signature cuts of steak and craveable sides to pair alongside. These exclusive additions offer guests unforgettable meals and a taste of the next stage of Fashion Island’s culinary scene.

New best-in-class brands offer exclusive boutique shopping experiences that cannot be found elsewhere. Hyde Park collects the best of luxury brands – think Rolex and Cartier – and offers them to shoppers in a high-end, no-fuss space. Also, a leader in the luxury workout space, Alo offers on-site classes complete with discounts for its buttery soft and supportive workout gear after shoppers break a sweat. Those looking for brands exclusively offered at Fashion Island and no other OC retailers must shop at the new action-and-adventure-focused Arc’teryx, the chic and timeless L’Agence, and iconic, California-based swimwear retailer L Space.
