Easter brunch: Hop over to Fashion Island
Easter is a time for family gatherings, fancier clothes and a special meal offering a world of flavors. Brunch options at Fashion Island include Belgian waffles, North Atlantic lobster and guajillo chimichurri.
Sumptuous entree choices at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar’s three-course Easter Weekend Brunch include shellfish Louie salad with North Atlantic lobster, colossal shrimp and king crab ($55) and sliced tenderloin & French onion frittata ($66). Each comes with a starter such as strawberry fennel salad and a lime cheesecake tart dessert. The Ultimate Bloody Mary is additional.
Gorgeous Red O offers more than a renowned “taste of Mexico” at its elaborate Easter Buffet ($68, children $35). The feast presents shrimp ceviche and oysters; chilaquiles and pozole; pollo asado with mole sauce and salmon with guajillo chimichurri; sides of street corn and rajas con crema – and it honors American traditions with omelet, rib-eye-carving and dessert stations as well as a salad bar.
Family fun is at the fore at Zentrl, adjacent to the Lot luxury cinema. Its Easter Brunch Celebration includes a petting zoo and a scavenger hunt; the Easter Bunny makes the rounds and takes photos with guests. The buffet features eggs Benedict and made-to-order omelets as well as Belgian waffles, spring salads and desserts ($68, children $30). Mimosa bar separate. And then a movie?
