Luxe Pelican Hill hosts two experiences: the Great Room Brunch, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Pelican Grill’s All-Day Brunch, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Great Room, ideal for families and larger parties, presents a crepe station, omelet bar, poke counter, carving station and sweet spring treats. Pelican Grill offerings span caviar, spring risotto, a butcher’s block showcasing wagyu steak and wild striped bass, and exquisite desserts ($245, $95 ages 3 to 10).

Upscale comfort eatery Great Maple, next to Nordstrom at Fashion Island, offers Mother’s Day specials Friday through Sunday this weekend. Two feature crab: lump crab Benedict with poached eggs, sautéed arugula, Old Bay butter and yuzu hollandaise; and the cheese ravioli and crab meat with Calabrian chili and vodka sauce. Mom-favorite lemon shrimp pasta is always available. The obvious finish highlights the restaurant’s namesake ingredient: three made-to-order maple bacon doughnuts.

Stylish Bayside presents a three-course Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch ($90) with choices including a first-course tartare of ahi tuna, a restaurant signature. Main courses include the Bayside Benedict with Canadian bacon; poached eggs and asparagus; short rib hash with poached eggs; and Ora King salmon with lemon-caper sun-dried tomato beurre blanc. Dessert is flourless chocolate cake with raspberries. Kids 12 and under have their own gourmet options ($38).
