Australian swim line Seafolly opens flagship boutique in the U.S.
Born on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, and “defining summer since 1975,” swimwear brand Seafolly marks its 50th year with an expansion beyond its 32 boutiques in Australia and four in Singapore.
“Expanding into the United States is a natural progression as we aim to bring our iconic Australian beach lifestyle to a global audience,” says Seafolly CEO Brendan Santamaria. “Opening our flagship store at Corona del Mar Shopping Center marks a significant milestone, a chance to connect with new and existing customers who share our passion for coastal living, effortless style and premium swimwear.”
Seafolly’s engaging prints and flattering fits are as diverse as the powder-blue floral Modern Romance hipster bikini and asymmetrically striped hot-pink Coastline V-neck one-piece. Many of the suits offer sarongs and lace kaftans to match. The iconic Seafolly Collective includes a variety of styles in solid colors.
There are new releases monthly. Trending now, according to store manager Anna Meneses: the Beach Bound ring-front tank bikini in ecru and the Sea Dive deep V-neck one-piece in black.
Beyond its boutiques, Seafolly has a presence inside more than 2,100 other retailers in 50 countries, including Nordstrom at nearby Fashion Island.
